Manager – Private Equity Value Creation - Tier 1 Strategy Consulting Firm

Step into a key role at a leading European strategy firm’s headquarters in Munich, working directly with a Partner who shapes value creation agendas for top‑tier private equity investors.

The Role

Lead end‑to‑end workstreams on value creation projects for PE‑backed portfolio companies, from commercial and operational diagnostics through to implementation and exit readiness. Translate investment theses into concrete value creation plans, define EBITDA and cash KPIs, and drive measurable impact together with client management teams. Manage and develop high‑performing consulting teams, ensuring clear storylines, robust analysis, and senior‑level steering documents. Support the Partner in further building and scaling the Private Equity Value Creation offering in the DACH region from the Munich hub. Collaborate closely across practices and offices to bring the best of the global partnership to each project.

What You Will Work On

Rapid portfolio reviews and value creation blueprints post‑deal, including growth, pricing, cost, and working‑capital levers. Design and delivery of performance improvement programs in sectors such as automotive, industrials, transport, infrastructure, and business services. Preparation of board and investment committee materials that synthesize strategic options, impact, risks, and implementation roadmaps. Exit readiness, including equity stories, KPI narratives, and operational proof points for potential buyers.

What You Bring

Several years of experience in top‑tier strategy consulting, transaction advisory, or a PE value creation team, with a clear focus on portfolio value enhancement. Strong track record in leading project modules or smaller projects at (Senior) Consultant or Manager level, including team leadership responsibility. Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, coupled with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with C‑level and investor stakeholders. Exposure to relevant sectors (e.g. industrials, automotive, transport, infrastructure, business services) and comfort with both operational and strategic topics. Very strong academic background and fluency in English; business‑proficient German for client work in the DACH region is a strong plus.
