Manager Regional Transport Operations

Your responsibilities are:

  • Plan and ensure operational readiness in terms of staff, training, processes and external capacities
  • Develop customer service focused processes and culture in the team
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the team by fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
  • Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and conduct regular evaluations
  • Foster a change mentality and skills
  • Track and analyze transportation KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, cost per shipment, quality) to assess operational performance
  • Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting achievements, challenges
  • Leverage transportation management systems (TMS) and other systems to streamline operations and improve visibility
  • Cooperate with external service providers to improve overall service levels and quality
  • Manage costs and rates with external partners in order to support budget adherence for the function

What you have to offer:

  • A university degree in Supply Chain Management (SCM) or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and transportation
  • Proven expertise in working with transportation management systems (TMS), preferably SAP
  • Proficiency in using TMS tools for operational optimization
  • Solid experience in analytics and KPI management within the transportation and logistics domain
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate transportation and logistics performance
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP regulations is mandatory
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on operational efficiency and compliance
  • Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
