This role is in the department Technical Systems. You will take a key role in shaping a newly established organization that drives technical excellence across operations. You will lead specialist teams in Mechanical, Automation, and Electronics, and build a new Logistics team that sets standards across three regions. This position offers the opportunity to create structures from the ground up, bring clarity to complex processes, and foster a culture of collaboration and trust. You will work closely with the Head Operations, ensuring technical integrity and operational performance go hand in hand.
Responsibilities
- Team Development: build and continuously develop high-performing teams in Mechanical, Automation, Electronics, and Logistics. Create ONE team by merging two existing organizations and foster a strong sense of belonging.
- Leadership: empower teams through coaching, feedback, and transparent communication and assume defined operator responsibilities in line with legal requirements.
- Strategy: co-create and drive the regional strategy in alignment with corporate goals and represent the region in all technical matters and decisions.
- Standardization: define and implement logistical standards across multiple regions and promote cross-regional standards (technical and process); analyze processes, identify improvements, and lead collaborative change. Establish strong stakeholder relationships with region management.
- Operational Excellence: ensure technical integrity and reliability of systems in alignment with operational goals; collaborate with Head Operations and Operations Manager to secure seamless execution and readiness for future assets. Establish governance and control mechanisms and drive subcontractor management for all technical agreements in the region.
- Safety & Compliance: foster a strong safety culture and guarantee compliance with regulations.
Your profile and background
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar.
- Proven leadership experience in technical organizations and solid project management skills.
- Strong ability to build new structures, create transparency, and drive change.
- A qualification or willingness to take on operator responsibilities (e.g., GVEFK) is a strong advantage.
- Passion for developing people and teams; ownership by proactively identifying, driving, and delivering key topics.
- Hands-on mentality combined with strategic vision, analytical mindset, and curiosity to challenge the status quo.
- Fluent in German and English.
