What you'll do

Based in Crottendorf, Germany, the Manufacturing Finance Manager is responsible for accurate monitoring and steering of Peli’s industrial trajectory. Reporting to the Plant Director with Dotted Line to the International FP&A Director, you will have a dual responsibility on manufacturing Finance KPIs and Strategic Sourcing. You will be a key partner to the EMEA controllership team and perform monthly review variance analysis and perform monthly closing and preparation of the consolidated financial statements. You will also assist with the completion of government reports and provide information to the quarterly reviews and annual financial audit in a multinational corporate environment, which may involve managing items beyond Germany.

  • Lead a small team of 2 reports.
  • Monitor and support financial indicators of Peli’s industrial trajectory, notably on Absorption performance.
  • Assist with monthly closing and conduct variance analysis on general ledger accounts and identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Liaise with FP&A monitoring facility assets, Capex projects, Internal Orders control.
  • Liaise with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to prepare quarterly (for corrections) and annual re-roll of standard costs, review and compare actual cost to standard cost, analyze data and prepare purchase price variance analysis and journals.
  • Lead inventory cycle count compliance and ABC count compliance for internal and 3rd party locations (if any) and responsible for inventory reconciliation by location and inventory reserve analysis for EMEA slow moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.
  • Perform internal audit over inventory cycle counts process. Same for Wall-to-wall inventory count if ever needed.
  • Liaise with Corporate FP&A for the reporting of global costs of goods sold.
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end audit schedules and lead all inventory related audit inquiries.
  • Assist in responding to government reports and prepare supporting schedules.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field with 10+ years’ experience in general and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, preferably onsite.
  • In-depth knowledge of Accounting Principles and procedures in DEGAAP, having knowledge in USGAAP an advantage.
  • Must have excellent English language skills, and full working command of German.
  • Consolidated analytical and organizational skills, detail oriented with excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient with SAP and Excel. Previous experience or exposure to Bill of Materials utilizing an MRP platform preferred.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
