Responsibilities

  • Be part of a highly qualified engineering team to efficiently manage the manufacturing as well as the technical domain of complex modules developed by our R&D team.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure a prompt execution as well as efficient and smooth production.
  • Take a lead on driving our suppliers to excellence for enabling smooth manufacturing processes in our facility near Munich.
  • Be part of a core engineering team focused on robust manufacturing of high‑end products and modules.
  • Solve complex technical issues to ensure robust volume manufacturing & drive design improvement activities to establish reliable design.
  • Act as a technical liaison in evaluating Electron‑Optical manufacturing processes.
  • Work with the Engineering (Design) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ramp up manufacturing capabilities of Electron‑Optical modules and ensure robust production processes.
  • Take responsibility for Applied Materials suppliers’ manufacturing compliance from product release to sustained production.
  • Assess, audit & optimize supplier manufacturing processes to achieve flawless serial production.
  • Understand and interpret engineering drawings & review them.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience working with suppliers throughout the complete product development process.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
  • Substantial experience in a high‑tech manufacturing environment, preferably semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary R&D and engineering processes.
  • Substantial experience in supplier development.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel (at least 20%).
