Market Development Manager – Products Innovation (Food Industry Focus) (f/m/d) – München, Hybrid Work. You support our team in developing and managing the food industry product portfolio, driving innovation and ensuring alignment with market and customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead and manage the food industry product portfolio strategy: from development and launch to phase-out
• Oversee and optimize the relevant food product portfolio, ensuring alignment with market & customer demands in volume, technology and regulations, with an eye on profit growth, and operational efficiency
• Conduct product portfolio management activities (e.g. change management, introduction of variants, packages), including communication, prioritization, rationalization, and performance tracking
• Develop product-specific value propositions acting as a central liaison across teams: R&D, regulatory, operations, product portfolio management, application engineering and sales
• Collect and document technical data, coordinate field trials, competitor benchmarks, and align cross-functional input
• Contribute to building autonomy and efficiency within the sales subsidiaries by supporting better access to sales/product data and providing clear product selection guidance
• Enable product portfolio expansion integrating existing and future oriented new technologies

Qualifications

• Proven experience in product portfolio management, product management, innovation ideally but not only within the food industry
• Chemical and/or technical background
• Strategic thinking and project management skills
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder engagement across functions
• Familiarity with technical databases, regulatory considerations, and go-to-market processes
• A proactive, autonomous working style with a focus on execution and results
• Open mindedness and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders across a matrix organization
• Fluent English, knowledge of German is desirable
