Job Description Summary
The Marketing and Omnichannel Specialist supports marketing activities and is responsible for executing and accelerating integrated online, offline, and face‑to‑face marketing strategies across the hub (Germany, Switzerland, Austria), aligned with the Waters Biosciences EMEA Marketing Plan.
Role Overview
At the local level, the role supports marketing activities, including planning and execution of local events, congresses, trade fairs, and targeted local marketing campaigns, in close collaboration with the customer‑facing teams (sales, applications) and other internal and external stakeholders.
The Omnichannel role covers executing and accelerating integrated online and offline marketing strategies across the hub, fully aligned with the Waters Biosciences EMEA Marketing Plan. The position plays a key role in advancing an omnichannel commercial model that improves the customer experience, increases marketing efficiency, and reduces manual processes, delivering measurable business impact.
Responsibilities
Sales Support & Lead Management - Management of the end‑to‑end lead process from campaign initiation to qualified handover to Sales according to best practice rules.
- Ensuring strong alignment between Marketing and Sales to improve lead conversion rates.
Local Marketing & Events - Support in planning and execution of local marketing events; end‑to‑end management of local congresses and trade fairs, including planning, execution, and post‑event activities.
- Coordination with organizers, post‑event follow‑up via SFDC and Showpad, and success evaluation.
- Execution of local marketing campaigns, including development of social media posts, flyers, print advertisements, and cross‑channel communications.
Omnichannel & Campaign Management - Execution of integrated omnichannel marketing strategies (online: web and Showpad; offline) in alignment with the Waters Biosciences EMEA Marketing Plan.
- Support the creation, adaptation, and localisation of campaign assets based on centrally developed marketing materials.
- Support in developing marketing plans across multiple platforms and communication channels, tailored to target audiences and strategic priorities.
Performance Analysis & Optimization - Analysis of campaign KPIs to evaluate performance, channel preferences, and message effectiveness.
- Derivation and implementation of optimisation measures to improve overall campaign effectiveness.
Marketing Infrastructure & Processes - Analysis and evaluation of existing marketing infrastructure, content, databases, and tools within the hub.
- Support in the set‑up, rollout, and continuous improvement of lead generation and lead management processes in close collaboration with Sales.
Market & Customer Insights - Planning and execution of market research and customer insight initiatives.
- Application of market and customer insights to improve targeting, personalisation, and campaign design.
Collaboration & Internal Communication - Delivery of regular, impactful internal communications to key hub stakeholders to ensure transparency and effective use of marketing initiatives.
- Collaboration with the EMEA Omnichannel Marketing Team to align EMEA Integrated Marketing Plan activities and hub marketing activities.
Skills and Competencies
- Relevant Sales and/or Marketing experience, preferably within Med Tech or Life Science Industry.
- Marketing & Digital Communication expert or a willingness to become one.
- Strategic thinking.
- Campaign design and content creation.
- Data analytics as user.
- Strong communicator with different internal audiences.
- Project management skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree level in a natural/medical science qualification or equivalent.
- Omnichannel marketing experience (preferably).
- Fluent German and English language.
- PC literacy in Excel, Word, PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
- CRM & sales enablement tools knowledge preferred (SFDC, Showpad, etc.).
Other Information
Complexity of duties includes working on long‑term projects and complex issues, ensuring budgets and schedules to meet business requirements.
Position will be hybrid; office location is Heidelberg. Successful candidate must be willing to travel (~10%) to support the Hub (Germany, Switzerland, Austria).

Salary Range
€63,600.00 – €96,975.00 EUR annual.
