Marketing & Bid Manager (Architecture)

A highly creative and forward-thinking international design studio that are well known for their innovative projects is looking for a Marketing & Bid Manager with architecture/built environment experience to join their social and welcoming team in Berlin.

The role will work closely with the senior team the UK office, and will collaborate with the wider team in Berlin, taking full ownership of the marketing, communications, bids, and business development function for the business. Together, you will drive continued success by creating engaging content, leading PR initiatives, tracking market trends, and identifying new growth opportunities. This is a varied and fast-paced role that requires exceptional attention to detail, strong on-the-spot creative thinking, and solid graphic skills. Native-level German (written and spoken) is a requirement, along with full professional fluency in English.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate bids, proposals, competitions and tender submissions for the Berlin studio
• Produce high-quality portfolios, presentations, bids and marketing materials
• Manage the end-to-end submission process, including timelines, consultant coordination and compliance documentation
• Support wider business development initiatives alongside Directors, including awards submissions, PR activity and studio marketing content
• Act as a key point of liaison between the Berlin studio and international teams
• Maintain relationships with clients, collaborators, journalists and external partners
• Support studio leadership with strategic marketing initiatives and administrative business development tasks

Key Skills / Requirements

• Fluent in German and English is required, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as communications, marketing or graphic design
• Strong experience in communications, marketing or business development within architecture, design or related creative industries
• Excellent graphic and presentation skills, with advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Keynote
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Confident working independently while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders and international teams
• Knowledge of public tender processes (RFPs/RFQs)
• Familiarity with HOAI / HOAS is advantageous but not essential
