Responsibilities:

• Measurement of fiber dispersion with an existing setup
• Implementation of a theoretical model for the fiber dispersion
• Extension of the setup for measurement of pumped active fibers
• Investigation on influence of population inversion / amplification on fiber dispersion

What you bring:

• Hands-on mentality and willingness to learn
• Solid knowledge of the basics of optics and electromagnetism
• Knowledge of Python
• Practical experience working in a laser or optics lab
