As part of our EMEA Supply Chain team, we are looking for a Material Planner (m/f/d) who will play a central role in securing the availability of key components required for battery production across our regional manufacturing network. This is your opportunity to work at the core of a complex and fast-moving supply chain in the automotive sector. We are currently seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team on a temporary basis for 2 years . This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment while contributing to meaningful projects!

This position is based in our EMEA Headquarters in Hannover , Germany .

What you will do

  • be responsible for the central planning of specific components (e.g. separators, lead, etc.) used in battery production
  • create monthly supply base overviews for defined product groups
  • prepare demand forecasts for both internal and external suppliers
  • monitor plant performance and actual material consumption
  • collaborate closely with Procurement on forecasting for purchased materials
  • prepare weekly plant inventory reports
  • identify potential bottlenecks and develop mitigation plans to avoid shortages
  • be responsible for the annual budget of your assigned components
  • Contribute to or take the lead in selected Supply Chain initiatives focused on enhancing availability, reducing costs, and improving overall performance

What makes you a good fit

  • Secondary or university degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
  • Proven track record in logistics/material planning in automotive or another high-volume industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Solid working knowledge in ERP systems, preferred in SAP PP (production planning and control), SAP MM (material management) and SAP BW (business warehouse)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Fluency in English, German is a plus
