Job Title: Math Competition Problem Writer – Olympiad & Advanced MathematicsWork Location: Remote / Global
About the Role:Join a cutting-edge AI research project to help train large language models on Olympiad-level mathematics problems. This short-term, high-impact research engagement invites math competition problem writers, medalists, participants, coaches, and selection committee members to create and evaluate challenging problems that push AI reasoning beyond human capabilities. Work remotely, set your own schedule, and contribute to frontier AI research.
Key Responsibilities:Write original, advanced IMO-style and Olympiad-level mathematics problems to challenge AI modelsEvaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness, clarity, and logical rigorIdentify incomplete reasoning, logical flaws, or insufficiently rigorous proofsProvide clear, concise, correct solutions and chain-of-thought reasoningMaintain extremely high standards of mathematical precision and problem difficulty
Qualifications / Skills Required:Proficiency in writing and formatting mathematical documents using LaTeXExperience as a problem writer, coach, selection committee member, medalist, or participant in math competitionsParticipation in competitions such as IMO, IMO TST, RMM, USAMO, APMO, IMC, EGMO (preference given to IMO & RMM)Expertise in algebra, combinatorics, and number theoryStrong written communication skills and ability to articulate complex reasoning clearlyRigorous attention to detail, independent, and disciplined work style
Salary Range / Compensation:IMO Participants:Gold: $85/hrSilver, Bronze & Selection Committee Members: $70/hrHonorable Mention: $60/hrParticipants: $50/hrOther Competitions:Gold: $70/hrSilver & Bronze: $65/hrOther: $50/hr
