We are supporting a well-established engineering consultancy based in the heart of Baden-Württemberg, known for its work with major clients across the automotive, industrial automation, and consumer technology sectors. The company delivers end-to-end product development services and is expanding its freelance network to meet increasing project demands.

Role Responsibilities:

• Contribute to concept development of high-precision mechanical products.
• Create and refine 3D CAD models for design visualization and iteration.
• Develop detailed mechanical designs suitable for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with internal project teams to align technical and project goals.
• Engage with client-side stakeholders to understand requirements and provide design solutions.
• Deliver innovative mechanical solutions that meet performance, cost, and manufacturability criteria.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX)
• Experience with mechanical component and assembly design
• Strong knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
• Ability to produce technical drawings to industry standards (e.g., ISO, DIN)
• Fluent in English or German (both preferred)

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with FEA or basic structural simulations
• Exposure to additive manufacturing or rapid prototyping
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems
