Your Mission
As a Technical Engineer at P3, you will play a key role in the development, integration, and industrialization of diverse drone and UAV platforms.
You’ll work hands-on on mechanical, electrical, and system-level engineering tasks, support prototype builds and testing, and help scale production and supplier networks to enable our clients to bring next-generation aerial vehicles to market.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate propulsion systems (rotor/motor/propeller or electric ducted fan) for multirotor and hybrid VTOL drones
• Support airframe structures and lightweight materials integration across various UAV architectures
• Implement and test battery, hydrogen fuel-cell or hybrid power systems
• Integrate and verify flight control, navigation, and communication systems
• Participate in prototype assembly, ground and flight testing, troubleshooting and iteration
• Contribute to production process development and supplier qualification for UAV components (motors, ESCs, batteries, electronics, avionics, composites)
• Work closely with P3 colleagues and client teams in a hybrid environment (home office, P3 offices, client sites across Europe)

Your Profile

• University degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, systems engineering, or a related technical field
• Hands-on engineering experience in drones/UAVs (multirotor, fixed-wing, hybrid VTOL) is ideal, but candidates with experience in aerospace, robotics, or other complex electromechanical systems are also encouraged to apply
• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in R&D, product development, or applied engineering projects
• Solid understanding of CAD, simulation, and testing methods
• Strong problem-solving and technical documentation skills
• Good communication skills in German and English
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and willing to occasionally travel to client sites
