The Cologne Cluster of Excellence on Aging and Aging-

associated Diseases (CECAD) aims to define the molecular

and cellular mechanisms underlying the aging process as

potential novel targets for prevention, early diagnosis, treat-
ment of aging-associated diseases and to foster healthy

aging. To establish the new platform "Science Communica-
tion, Public Relations, and Visibility," a team of three part-
time positions with different areas of responsibility will be set

up at the CECAD office.

YOUR TASKS
You
» are responsible for the CECAD website content

management system (Typo3), including overall design,

layout, content coordination, and back-end adminis-
tration, in close collaboration with the supporting web

agency

» develop, implement, and take care of the ongoing

maintenance of internal digital communication channels

» illustrate CECAD's science via the creation, acquisition,

and editing of diverse media formats, including

photography, film, podcasts, or video productions

» design and produce graphics for various communication

and outreach purposes, such as scientific reports,

posters, infographics, advertisements, events, etc

» support your team members and the CECAD Central

Office in superior and larger projects and tasks

YOUR PROFILE
» Completed degree in (Digital) Media or Graphic Design,

or an equivalent qualification
» Proficiency in content management systems, preferably

Typo3
» Work experience with professional graphic design

software, affinity for working with AI-based tools
» Proven experience in creating and editing various media

formats and graphics, as well as an interest and curiosity

in further developing these skills for the purpose of com-
municating and explaining scientific content

» Independent, structured and detail-oriented way of

working combined with excellent communication skills

and proficiency in written and spoken English and

German

» You would like to work in a scientific environment and

are interested to transfer CECAD's research and support

our community
