We are looking for a Media Relations & Communications Manager for the DACH region. In this role, you own media relations and communications across Germany, Austria and Switzerland—turning complex technology and operational reality into clear, credible stories that build trust and support commercial traction. You’ll join a small but passionate team of communicators and work as part of our Go‑to‑Market organization, directly reporting to the Head of External Communication & Advocacy.

What you will do

• Own and drive the DACH media strategy with a bold, quarterly communications plan fully aligned to European and global narratives.
• Lead high‑impact media relations by building powerful relationships with top‑tier business, tech, energy, and mobility journalists to secure standout earned coverage.
• Shape compelling narratives and messaging that connect product innovation, operations, and customer value into clear, differentiated stories.
• Elevate executive visibility by preparing leaders for interviews, panels, and major announcements with sharp briefings and seamless coordination.
• Take charge of reactive communications and issues management, delivering fast, fact‑based responses and steady leadership in high‑pressure situations.
• Turn complex topics into powerful thought leadership, creating high‑quality content across press releases, op‑eds, blogs, social, and customer stories.
• Drive performance and excellence by managing agencies, ensuring message consistency, and tracking media impact with clear, actionable insights.
• Collaborate across teams and borders—partnering with GTM, Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and European colleagues—while thriving in a fast‑paced, ever‑evolving environment.

What you will bring

To make the above work, we are looking for a senior professional who is solution‑oriented, customer‑centric, independent, and not afraid to take ownership.

Other essential requirements

• 7+ years in media relations / communications, ideally in technology, infrastructure, industrial, energy, mobility, or other high‑scrutiny environments.
• Proven track record of securing earned coverage and shaping narratives at country / regional level.
• Strong ability to work with technical and operational teams and translate complexity into clear external language.
• Journalistic writing strength: you can write sharply, accurately, and quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to write various formats (press release, statement, byline, Q&A, customer story, exec brief, crisis holding lines).
• Thrive in fast‑moving, tech‑driven environments, bringing genuine curiosity for technology and a natural ability to turn complex topics into exciting, relevant stories.
• Stay calm, focused, and effective under pressure, demonstrating sound judgment, high integrity, and strong fact discipline while navigating shifting priorities with clarity and simplicity.
• Lead with a team‑first mindset and trusted‑advisor presence, building credibility with senior leaders, embracing ownership, and contributing to a small, passionate, high‑performing team.
• Native or near‑native German proficiency and fluent written and spoken English are required.
