Redstone Commodity Search is working with a well-established industrial metal supplier looking to hire a metal trader to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor global metal markets and trends, including pricing, demand‑supply conditions, and geopolitical influences.
• Buy and sell metals (such as copper, aluminium, zinc, etc.) in the physical and/or futures markets and negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for metal trades, ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
• Work closely with logistics teams to coordinate the transportation and delivery of metals ensuring compliance with international regulations and standards for the movement of metals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and other market participants.
• Role reports to Head of refined metals .

Key Qualifications

• Experience in trading any of the following metals: antimony, bismuth, carbonyl nickel powders, elemental and alloyed powders, tungsten, additive manufacture powders, copper alloys, ferro alloys, high purity metals, LME base metals, nickel alloys, cobalt alloys, titanium alloys, zirconium alloys, stainless steel alloys.
• 5+ years experience in physical metals trading.
• Experience with futures and derivatives trading , including hedging strategies related to metal prices would be advantageous.
• Experience in identifying and managing risks associated with trading, such as market volatility and credit risk would be advantageous.
• Role is to be located in the United Kingdom.
