Mid-level Software Developer

Overview:
BettingJobs is working with an innovative B2B company in the Sports Betting Data niche. This client is based in Italy, with staff around Europe, the company are looking to grow their development team as they expand into new markets and sports. They are looking for a Mid-level Software Developer to join their team based remotely within Europe.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of our backend APIs.
• Implement new services for our low-latency Athletes Pricing platform.
• Prototype, test, deliver, and deploy new backend features.
• Support our web-based product with high-performing API implementations.
• Work closely with data scientists to integrate cutting-edge components and algorithms.
• Actively participate in product discussions and decision-making in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.

Requirements:
Must Have:

• Solid understanding of object-oriented design, patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• 3+ years of experience building highly scalable, high-performing components with Java (Java 8+) and Spring.
• 2+ years of experience working with databases.
• Proven experience integrating REST APIs.
• Familiarity with low-latency distributed systems.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the betting, gaming, or sports analytics industry.
• NoSQL database experience (MongoDB preferred).
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, and distributed systems communication.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Experience working with Reactive programming
• Passionate about sports and game analytics
