Overview

We’re looking for a Motion Planning Engineer to join an advanced engineering team developing autonomous driving systems for next-generation vehicles.

In this role, you’ll design and implement real-time motion planning algorithms that enable vehicles to navigate safely and efficiently in complex, dynamic environments.

You’ll work at the core of autonomy — where perception, prediction, and control meet decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement motion planning algorithms for autonomous vehicles
• Develop trajectory generation and optimisation strategies
• Integrate inputs from perception and prediction modules
• Ensure safe and efficient vehicle behaviour in real-time scenarios
• Collaborate with control, perception, and systems teams
• Test and validate algorithms in simulation and real-world environments

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years experience in motion planning, robotics, or autonomous systems
• Strong programming skills in C++ (Python is a plus)
• Experience with path planning algorithms (A*, RRT, MPC, etc.)
• Understanding of vehicle dynamics and control systems
• Experience working with real-time systems

Nice to Have

• Experience with ROS / ROS2
• Background in ADAS or autonomous driving
• Experience with simulation tools (CARLA, LGSVL, or similar)
• Knowledge of sensor fusion or prediction systems
