National Tax Manager (mfdiverse) REF92637Z

We are looking for an experienced National Tax Manager to join our global tax function. In this role you will manage and coordinate all national tax matters for our German entities, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and driving process improvements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external advisors and tax authorities to provide expert guidance and lead key tax projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise group companies (national and international) on VAT and other tax‑related matters, including preparation of tax balance sheets and returns.
• Handle topics such as BEPS/Pillar II from a national perspective.
• Monitor and coordinate compliance with national and international tax obligations.
• Develop and implement solutions for process optimisation in indirect tax processes, including ongoing oversight.
• Manage tax audits and implement findings to strengthen compliance and improve the company’s standing.
• Plan and ensure accurate data for tax forecasts and budgets for domestic entities, including tax controlling.
• Analyse and evaluate changes in tax legislation, inform relevant finance stakeholders and provide guidance for special projects (e.g. M&A investments, restructuring).
• Collaborate with global tax teams on cross‑border initiatives and compliance projects.

Qualifications

• University degree in economics, law or another discipline with a tax focus, or qualification as a certified tax specialist or equivalent.
• Tax advisor certification is an advantage.
• Many years of professional experience in national and international taxation (industry tax administration or tax consulting).
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of SAP is desirable.
• Fluent German and English skills (written and spoken).
• Independent, goal‑oriented work style combined with strong communication skills and team spirit.
