We are an independent provider of space services, covering the entire life cycle of space systems, as the main subsidiary of SSC's Engineering Services. Employing over 190 engineers, we provide services to the international space market, including support for all phases of a space mission or full service, operations, independent consulting and training.

Description

Start Date: April 2026

Location: ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany

Working hours: full time, 40h/week

Requirement: EU Citizenship

Security

In line with security requirements for the concerned missions of this position, the candidate has to hold a European citizenship. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process. Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work the company is in, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference and identity checks.

Requirements

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • PhD or MSc in Geodesy, Aerospace, Physics, or related field
  • Experience in GNSS data processing and algorithm development
  • Expertise in Filters, Batch-LSQ, or Non-Gravitational Force Modelling
  • Software skills (Python or FORTRAN preferred)
  • Proficient with Linux and git
  • International, multidisciplinary project experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, operate and validate algorithms for GNSS product generation (orbits, clocks, ERPs, atmosphere, biases, etc).
  • Design and implement advanced POD algorithms and models
  • Analysis of multi-source geodetic data (GNSS, SLR, LLR, DORIS, VLBI).
  • Software development, integration, testing, and deployment for navigation and geodetic applications.
  • Our engineering activities encompass the entirety of systems engineering for navigation support, including: Generation of high-precision orbit and clock solutions, development of advanced algorithms and models, Ground station operations and support, comprehensive data handling and processing, software engineering, verification, and validation, testing, quality assurance of deliverables as well as Customer and user support for geodetic and navigation product services.
