Navigation Engineer (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Navigation Engineer (f/m/d) for our team at B. Braun New Ventures in Freiburg. Duties and responsibilities: You will be part of a team developing a platform and associated software for digital surgery combining sensors, imaging and navigationYou will build clean, modular, and maintainable software components using modern development practices. Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing, code reviews, and comprehensive documentationYou will create well-structured and maintainable software components using state-of-the-art software design approachesYou will be part of a scrum team collaborating with other software developers as well as with software architects, robotics engineers, system engineers, UX engineers, quality engineers and product ownersYou are open to work on all phases of product development from early concepts to implementation and Verification and Validation activitiesYou will comply with medical software standards and have the responsibility of developing, integrating, documenting and validating your own software modulesYou will be able to participate in interactive labs with doctors and partners on-site Professional competencies: M.Sc. or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Image Processing or related fieldProficiency in C++ is requiredProven experience with frontend technologies like Qt/QML and visualization technologies like VTKHands-on experience with tracking/navigation systems using frameworks like OpenCV, Eigen and othersStrong skills in 3D geometry and linear algebra are considered a plusFamiliarity with real-time programming on Linux, ROS2, iceoryx, or distributed systems would be beneficialBackground in regulated industries (medical, aerospace, automotive) is desirable Personal competencies: You are enjoying working in an agile team with high diversityYou are a self-starter, a doer, and you deliver on your commitmentsYou are a networker and technology passionate; you never stop learning and are truly open mindedYou are communicating fluently in English.
