Optimus Search is excited to collaborate with a prominent company based in Jena , a recognised leader in the Semiconductor sector, specialising in micromechanical and optoelectronic components . The company works closely with clients on plasma processes and utilises laser-based analytical techniques to provide precise measurements. With a global team of around 550 employees , generating annual revenues of approximately 130 million EUR , the company operates from several locations worldwide, with four offices across Germany and its headquarters in Wettenberg . The Jena office offers a tight-knit team environment, fostering both personal and professional development within its sister companies.

As part of the team, you will be involved in developing high-level device software using a SECS/GEM-compatible framework (C#).
Your tasks will include optimising and enhancing existing control software (C++).
You will directly liaise with customers , making necessary adjustments and optimising interfaces independently.
Occasionally, you’ll be involved in software commissioning , with the possibility of global travel for on-site visits (roughly 10% of the time).
Maintaining regular communication with customers and service technicians , you will address technical queries and resolve any issues.
You will contribute to the development of innovative software concepts , playing an integral role in their realisation .
Version control and documentation will be under your responsibility, ensuring a robust software development process.

What We Expect from You :

A degree in a STEM field or a technical apprenticeship combined with relevant experience.
Strong expertise in C# within the Microsoft development environment (e.g., Visual Studio ).
Experience with TwinCAT 3 is advantageous.
Solid understanding of hardware and measurement techniques , preferably with experience in device development for the semiconductor industry .
Openness to new technologies and additional programming languages .
You should be comfortable with hardware and its measurement methods .
Proficiency in English , as the team is international.
You should be a team player , communicative , and capable of working independently and conscientiously.
