Summary & Role Information

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer (f/m/d) for the newly founded Cloud Delivery Germany as part of SAP’s Sovereign Cloud Organization. With the build‑out of new Sovereign Cloud regions, you will be taking part in laying the foundation for a unified and competitive business in the regulated industry in Germany/Europe. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and the ability to administer and troubleshoot it to deliver exceptional support to our customers.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and maintain complex Hyperscaler/SAP Cloud Infrastructure networks, track significant problems, monitor performance, and perform upgrades as required.
• Engage with customers in network architecture discussions to meet their security requirements.
• Improve our network concepts based on customer feedback.
• Respond to and resolve escalated customer requests in a timely fashion.
• Participate in deep‑level incident troubleshooting.
• Participate in complex change preparation and execution.
• Other support tasks, duties, and responsibilities, e.g., hardware installations, troubleshooting, and administration.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong experience with Hyperscaler networking (AWS, Azure or GCP) and/or SAP Cloud Infrastructure.
• Experience managing networking for SAP’s solutions, e.g. S/4, BTP, etc.
• Experience implementing security on AWS with VPC, IAM, Security Groups, UTM solutions, NACLs, etc.
• Perform and lead diagnostics of problems, troubleshoot and develop solutions on AWS, Azure & GCP.
• Implement security requirements across all Cloud platforms.
• A willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on‑call duties and flexibility to work in shifts is required, ensuring consistent coverage and support. The role includes an attractive remuneration package for shift work and on‑call duties.
• Commitment to maintaining daily office presence for efficient team collaboration.
• Due to the potentially classified nature of our work, your willingness is required to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process.
