Job Description

Extreme Network and CATO

Key Responsibilities

• Minimum Experience of 8 years
• Manage Cato network devices and Extreme switches/APs
• Design, configure and deploy Extreme Networks solutions across enterprise environments
• Provide expert level troubleshooting and support for Extreme Networks switches, routers, wireless access points and management platforms
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to assess network requirements and deliver scalable solutions
• Lead network upgrades, migrations and integration projects
• Develop and maintain documentation including network diagrams, configuration standards and operational procedures
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning and proactive monitoring
• Stay updated with the latest Extreme Networks technologies, firmware updates and best practices
• Train and mentor junior network engineers and support staff
• Interface with Extreme Networks support and account teams for escalations and strategic planning

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience in configuring Cato network devices and Extreme switches/APs
• Strong understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, QoS and multicast
• Experience with Extreme Management Center (XMC), Fabric Connect and Extreme Cloud IQ
• Certifications such as Extreme Certified Specialist (ECS) or Extreme Certified Expert (ECE) are highly desirable
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience in large‑scale enterprise or service provider environments
• Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible)
• Knowledge of network security principles and integration with firewalls and NAC solutions
