This position reports to: Global Procurement Manager.

The work model for the role is: hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the interface between Procurement and the Research & Development (R&D) team, bringing procurement knowledge—market insights, suppliers, and external intelligence—into the development process to optimize cost, quality, and technology. Translate R&D requirements into clear procurement parameters for execution.
• Contribute to the PAPCP in global sites. Main stakeholders include Electronics Component Suppliers, Component Management, Category Management, R&D, PPM, SQE, IE, etc.
• Lead the NPI team to drive the execution of the Gate Model process across the Procurement organization, with critical contributions to the Make‑vs‑Buy decision process.
• Act as a key business focal point for reviewing and updating the procurement Gate Model checklist.
• Select prototype and final production material suppliers, aligning with product cost targets, future product footprint requirements, time‑to‑market expectations, and procurement strategies—with relevant Procurement teams—while ensuring sustainable quality and cost.
• Estimate initial cost and quality and deliver on defined product cost and quality targets.

Qualifications For The Role

• Highly skilled in and enjoy working with the Gate Model process and the global industrial market.
• Established advanced skills with 5+ years of experience in electronics engineering and NPI development.
• Degree in a relevant field with proven experience in component engineering and sourcing during the NPI phase.
• Possess in-depth knowledge and qualifications in electronics engineering and NPI development.
• (Optional) Experience working as a component engineer with DCS systems.
• Passionate about leadership and communication, with innovative approaches in these areas.
• Negotiation‑level English skills.
• Hold a valid work permit for the EU.
