Okta: Principal Product Manager, LogIn

Role Overview

As the Principal Product Manager for Login, you will own the “front door” for hundreds of millions of users accessing thousands of global products and services. You will define the future of the hosted login experience, translating high‑level strategic direction into actionable requirements and user stories, working with stakeholders to deliver rapid, incremental customer value, negotiating scope, balancing technical innovation with customer requests, and ensuring exceptional quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Define secure‑by‑design authentication flows that empower customers to offer low‑friction UX.
• Deliver measurable business outcomes through the evolution of Universal Login and supporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, design, executive leadership, marketing, and customers to bring new capabilities to market.
• Actively negotiate scope to maintain momentum and balance innovation with customer needs.
• Ensure exceptional standards of quality and manage technical and operational risks.

Must Have Qualifications

• Developer awareness and experience—primary persona is developers; experience with Node.js and knowing how to expose features via Actions is important.
• Familiarity with Identity, Login, and Multi‑Factor Authentication patterns, products, and concepts.
• Leadership qualities—initiative, discretion, calmness under stress, and ability to represent work across the organization.
• Strong desire to learn—invest time to understand MFA/authentication methods, customer perspective, and dependencies.

Nice To Have

• Experience implementing CIC/Auth0.
• Previous employment in identity, security, or adjacent companies.
