Operations Manager, Düsseldorf, Germany – Upway

Upway is hiring an Operations Manager for its Launch Operations team in Düsseldorf. The Operations team’s role is to create the largest and highest-quality e‑bike offering for Upway shoppers by sourcing the best e‑bikes, refurbishing them, and delivering them to their new owner through a seamless customer experience.

What you will do

Lead a team of warehouse associates and bike mechanics
Design, build and own entire parts of the operational flow
Go deep into the data to find optimization opportunities
Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and partners
Design and implement processes to optimize customer experience and financial efficiency
Set up tools and dashboards to get an accurate view on operations
Work closely with the rest of the company to support extremely fast‑paced growth and expansion

What you will need

Strong academic background in engineering, finance, logistics, business, MINT or similar
3‑5 years of experience in Operations, Finance, or equivalent
Fluency in German, proficiency in English
Possess strong communication and leadership skills, able to lead a small team in a warehouse environment
Superior problem‑solving skills; able to manage detail, establish root cause, and analyse data
Comfort with working in a fast‑paced and changing environment
Attention to details and obsession for operational excellence
Readiness to be fully accountable for a complex operational scope
Thrive on change and a dynamic environment; inclined to operate with flexibility and commit the extra step required to get the job done
