Security Consultant – ICS / OT (m/f/d)

Adeptis Group is recruiting an experienced OT / ICS Security Consultant for a leading cybersecurity consultancy that operates across Germany and neighbouring regions, supporting industrial and critical-infrastructure organisations in protecting their information and operational technology environments.

The company delivers specialist services in Information Security Management, ICS / OT Security, and Offensive Security, helping clients assess their security posture, implement ISMS frameworks, and ensure compliance with international standards.

Working across sectors such as energy, utilities, transport, and manufacturing, you will join a highly skilled team securing complex OT and industrial environments that are vital to operational continuity and national infrastructure.

Role Overview

As an OT / ICS Security Consultant in the business, you will be part of an expert team delivering security consulting and risk assessments for industrial control systems and operational technology. You will help design, implement, and improve security frameworks that protect production systems and critical infrastructure from disruption and cyber threats.

Fluent / Native German language skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical consulting on ICS / OT and industrial IT security
• Design and assess security architectures for industrial environments
• Develop and implement security processes (e.g. patch management, incident response, secure operations)
• Support procurement and implementation projects, including writing and evaluating technical specifications
• Help clients build or enhance ISMS frameworks aligned with ISO 2700x and IEC 62443
• Advise on business continuity and contingency planning
• Conduct risk analyses, audits, and security reviews for OT systems
• Interpret and apply industry-specific standards, such as IEC 62443 and BDEW / OE / VSE guidelines

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Industrial Control Systems (ICS) or Operational Technology (OT) environments
• Strong understanding of network architecture, Windows/Linux systems, and cybersecurity principles
• Exposure to security frameworks or standards such as IEC 62443, ISO 27001, or NIST
• Proven ability to deliver security assessments, audits, or risk analyses
• Experience engaging with industrial or critical-infrastructure clients (e.g. energy, utilities, manufacturing, or transport)
