Packaging Engineer in Plant PO

What you will do

• Development and optimization of sustainable, innovative and competitive packaging for tesa Industry.
• Focus is on international launch projects taking into account product protection, production processes, costs as well as customer agreements and current legislation.
• Initiation of projects and coordination with internal business partners such as tSN, BU, GP and R&D to deliver results in agreed quality and time.
• Continuous optimization of existing packaging, especially with regard to quality, cost-effectiveness and customer requirements.
• Technical support in the event of malfunctions in packaging processes ensuring the processability of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging.
• Definition and implementation of improvement measures in collaboration with plant Supplier Development and supplier.
• Initiation, active coordination and evaluation of production trials in the field of packing.
• Professional assessment of complaints regarding packaging damage.
• Creation and maintenance of packaging BOMs, specifications, master data and technical drawings
• The primary workplace is located in plant with the closest connection to the Packaging Development Industry in HQ.

What you will need

• Degree in Packaging Engineering
• At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of packaging technology
• Experienced knowledge about characteristics of packaging technologies, materials and packing processes
• Strong knowledge of packaging types made by fibers or plastics
• Independent working style, commitment, ability to work in a team and adherence to deadlines
• Experienced in project management, analytical skills, team spirit
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, in German and English
