We are seeking a Packet Core Functional Expert to lead the onboarding, configuration, and validation of 5G Cloud‑Native Functions (CNFs) on VMware Telco Cloud Automation (TCA). This role is critical to ensuring high‑performance, standards‑compliant 5G Packet Core operations for next‑generation networks.

Detailed Job Description

As a Packet Core Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enabling seamless deployment of Nokia CMM and CMG CNFs within a VMware‑based Telco Cloud environment. You will define configuration strategies, perform end‑to‑end functional testing, and align automation processes to accelerate delivery. This position requires deep expertise in EPC/5GC domains, CI/CD pipeline management, and cloud‑native architectures. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement in 5G core network onboarding and operations.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and configuration of Nokia CMM and CMG CNFs on VMware TCA
• Perform functional validation and behavior analysis of 5G Packet Core components
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for automated integration and deployment
• Conduct end‑to‑end testing and troubleshoot CNF‑related issues
• Collaborate with architecture and automation teams to ensure compliance with 3GPP and cloud‑native standards

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 8+ years of experience in EPC/5GC Packet Core domain
• Strong hands‑on experience with Nokia CMM and CMG CNFs
• Proficiency in GitLab for CI/CD pipeline management
• Solid understanding of VMware Telco Cloud Automation (TCA)
• Expertise in 5G core architecture, cloud‑native principles, and automation frameworks

✨ Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in Telco environments
• Familiarity with Ansible or similar automation tools
• Knowledge of network slicing and 5G SA deployment strategies
• Exposure to multi‑vendor 5G core integration projects
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
