Masento Search have been exclusively mandated by a global Big 4 consultancy to appoint a Partner who will take a leading role in expanding the firm’s Asset Management consulting capabilities in Germany. This is a pivotal hire that will underpin the firm’s continued investment in the sector, responding to growing client demand across areas such as regulatory change, operating model transformation, digital innovation, and sustainable finance.

The incoming Partner will be responsible for setting a clear market agenda, cultivating senior client relationships, and developing a high-performing team to deliver complex programmes. With the backing of a global brand and extensive international network, this individual will have the platform to build a market-leading business line within Asset Management consulting.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute a growth strategy for the Asset Management consulting practice in Germany, focusing on the needs of global and domestic asset managers.
• Originate, negotiate, and close major consulting engagements, building enduring client relationships at the most senior levels.
• Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to clients on regulatory change, digital transformation, operating model optimisation, and ESG/sustainable finance.
• Ensure the successful delivery of complex transformation programmes, maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a team of consultants, creating a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
• Partner with colleagues across other service lines and geographies to deliver integrated, cross-functional solutions.
• Represent the firm in the market as a recognised leader in Asset Management consulting.

Candidate profile / Qualifications

• An established leader in management consulting with deep experience advising asset managers, asset servicers, or related institutions.
• Expertise across one or more of the following areas: regulatory change (e.g. UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID, ESG), digital and data transformation, operating model optimisation, or sustainable finance.
• Proven track record of business development, including origination and execution of complex consulting engagements.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale practices, with strong people leadership and talent development skills.
• Well-established network across the asset management industry in Germany and Europe.
• Fluent in German and English; international exposure is an advantage.
• Strong academic background in a relevant discipline.
