Payment Product Owner Team Lead (m/f/d)

As Payment Product Owner Team Lead (m/f/d) you will lead team of Product Owners that manage a suite of products and services that power millions of transactions across our global footprint of over 27 countries. You will define and deliver an impactful multi-year roadmap of payment platform capabilities - from core transaction processing and payment method expansion to fraud prevention, compliance automation, and emerging payment technologies. Success in this role requires masterful orchestration across multiple teams and stakeholders including Business, Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams, ensuring everyone moves in concert toward shared objectives.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You define and own the product strategy, vision, and multi-year roadmap for multiple payment products, aligning with overall business objectives
• You lead payment product teams to deliver on strategic initiatives and drive accountability for business outcomes
• You drive end-to-end product lifecycle management from discovery and business case development through launch, commercialization, and continuous optimization
• You ensure compliance with payment regulations (PSD2, KYC, AML, data security) and work closely with Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams to maintain resilient and secure payment operations
• You collaborate with business, engineering, data, compliance, operations, and platform leaders to deliver scalable, high-performing payment solutions that drive sustainable growth and cost reduction worldwide
• You build, mentor, and develop a high-performing product teams, fostering a culture of innovation, customer-centricity, and data-driven decision-making

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Domain Experience You possess product management experience in payments, fintech, banking, or related technology businesses. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Product You have a proven track record of building and scaling payment products from concept through launch and growth, with demonstrable business impact and revenue generation
• Compliance Knowledge of payment regulations and compliance including PCI-DSS, data privacy laws, and regional payment scheme requirements
• Payments Ecosystem Deep expertise in payment ecosystems including card networks (Visa, Mastercard), real-time payments, digital wallets, PSP, and emerging payment technologies
• People Leadership Strong leadership experience managing and developing product teams
• Stakeholder & Technical Alignment Excellent stakeholder management skills and technical proficiency to collaborate effectively with engineering teams on architecture decisions, API design, and integration strategies
