Your Mission:
As People and Culture Operations Manager (m/f/d), you’ll lead the operational backbone of our HR function for TELUS Digital Germany. You’ll manage a dedicated team responsible for all pre‑payroll activities, employee lifecycle administration, and HR operations coordination. Together with your team, you’ll ensure that contracts, corrections, absences, and employee data flow seamlessly to enable accurate payroll processing and exceptional employee experiences.
Your Tasks - Here’s Where You Can Make a Difference:
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of P&C Operations specialists
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and service excellence
- Manage team capacity, workload distribution, and performance management
HR Operations Management:
- Oversee end‑to‑end employee lifecycle administration including onboarding, contract management, changes, and offboarding
- Manage employee data accuracy across all HR systems (Workday, DATEV interface)
- Ensure timely processing of corrections, amendments, and employee status changes
- Coordinate sick leave imports, absence management, and time tracking processes
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports to the Payroll team for salary processing
Process Optimization & Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and harmonize HR operational processes across German entities
- Ensure full compliance with German labor law, works council agreements, and data protection regulations (DSGVO)
- Establish and maintain SLAs for ticket resolution and operational deliverables
- Drive digitalization and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:
- Act as primary operational partner to the Payroll Manager, ensuring seamless handover of payroll‑relevant data
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Benefits, and other HR teams
- Serve as point of contact for employee inquiries related to contracts, absences, and HR documentation
- Partner with IT and system administrators to optimize HR technology stack
- Coordinate with works councils and employee representatives as needed
Quality Assurance & Reporting:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Monitor operational KPIs and provide regular reporting to HR leadership
- Conduct audits of employee files and HR documentation
- Manage escalations and resolve complex operational issues
What You Bring - Your Qualifications:
Experience & Education:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a management position
- Proven track record in managing teams and driving operational excellence
- Experience in BPO, shared services, or multi‑entity environments is highly desirable
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of German labor law, employment contracts, and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with P&C processes and workflow
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms; Workday experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Google Workspace and ticketing systems is a plus
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for reporting and data analysis
