Personal Financial Counselor, PFC-Hohenfels

This position will provide personal financial services at assigned military installations. Primary responsibilities include the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families at military installations. We will work closely with installation and military branch points of contact to ensure the program meets the needs of the installation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and families.
• Assist members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
• Coordinate, publicize, and provide a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Effectively utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations according to DoD protocol.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision.
• Participate in training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Other Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; associate degree plus 4 years’ experience or high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish may be required.
• Must obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process.
• Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
