Join the research group in the Department of Plankton and Microbial Ecology at the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) in Lake Stechlin, Germany. The position starts 1 April 2026 and lasts 36 months as part of the DFG Graduate Programme “Biota‑Mediated Effects of Carbon Cycling in Estuaries” (RTG 2530).
The project focuses on using biochemical and molecular tools to evaluate the ecological role of parasites and viruses in the Elbe Estuary.
This is a 36‑month PhD position within the DFG research training network BiCEst. Salary is paid according to the German public service salary scheme (65 % E13 TVöD Bund).
