JOB OPENING

• Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
• Location:     Ramstein, Germany
• Start Date:   Immediately
• Job-Type:      Part-Time to Full-Time

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program at a technical or community college, college, or university. 
• Able to read, understand, speak, and write English fluently.
• Possess organization, problem-solving, and communication skills to articulate medical requirements to patients, families/caregivers, and medical and non-medical staff professionally and courteously.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Assist in planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care interventions
• Apply therapeutic principles to support functional recovery and daily living activities
• Collect and document patient performance data accurately
• Monitor and report patient responses to treatment
• Support therapists with evaluations, tests, measurements, and procedures
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate therapeutic exercises and physical therapy interventions
• Collaborate with staff and network providers to ensure continuity of care
• Facilitate, fit, instruct, and establish use of adaptive equipment, orthoses, braces, and other therapeutic devices
• Ensure equipment safety and cleanliness; submit work orders for repairs as needed
• Maintain the rehabilitation space and monitor upkeep of therapy equipment
   

DOCPER/SOFA/Logistical Support Status

This position is not eligible for support under NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) supplemental agreement articles 72 or 73.
