Job Description

Develop new equity investment proposals in the Industrials, Technology, Health Care and/or Consumer sectors, based on bottom-up fundamental equity analysis.
Act as the deputy strategy owner for our sustainable equity strategies.
Manage existing equity positions, including monitoring of news-flow, updating of investment rationales, and proposing changes to portfolio weightings.
Actively engage with PM colleagues in the equity team and beyond to help shape the strategic and tactical thinking around equity investing.
Engage with the "quantitative analysis" colleagues on equity screening, portfolio construction and risk management.
Actively engage with PM colleagues, RM colleagues and clients to promote PM's equity strategies and offerings, and contribute to business development efforts to increase AuM.

Requirements

University degree or equivalent qualification such as CIIA/CEFA or CFA.
Minimum of 5 years' professional experience in the equity markets, either on the sell side or in asset management.
Strong background in fundamental equity analysis.
Passion for sustainable investing. Experience in selecting stocks and/or managing ESG-oriented portfolios is a plus.
Passionate interest in financial market topics and quantitative investment approaches.
Proficiency with Excel-based company financial models.
Familiarity with portfolio management applications (e.g. Avaloq) and market data applications (e.g. Bloomberg)
Effective communication skills and professional demeanor. Proficiency in English, written and spoken, is essential. Knowledge of additional languages, including German in particular, is a clear advantage.
Display of both conviction and humility in assessing the merits of investment proposals, both in accepting feedback and challenging colleagues across the team.
