Portfolio Manager

ELEKS Project Management Office is looking for a Program/Portfolio Manager in Germany who is able to work onsite in Gottingen 1 day per week. ABOUT PROJECTOur client is one of the global pharmaceutical and laboratory equipment suppliers based in Germany. Their products and services support pharmaceutical researchers and laboratory professionals in streamlining workflows, reducing human error, and accelerating progress across critical projects.The ELEKS team is assisting the client in developing software solutions for biopharma process automation (e.g., drug and vaccine manufacturing). Our engineers have already contributed to multiple applications that help optimize the transition from development to large-scale production. REQUIREMENTS5+ years of experience in IT project managementProven experience managing large projects with full financial accountability under multiple contract formsExperience in building or maintaining programs/portfolios with parallel projectsPrevious technical background to understand interdependencies between components when delivering complex software-hardware solutionsStrong communication, presentation, and customer service skillsPMP or other professional certification (desirable)German language proficiency at a native level (required for client communication)Excellent command of English RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and manage program road map and benefits to the companyGovern program budget across multiple projects, work with Account Management to on profitability objectivesResolve program issues and mitigate risks, escalate issues/risks when appropriateManage program status, including KPIs, program highlights, projects statuses and road-maps. Ensure quality inspections are carried out as required. Analyze results and troubleshoot problem areasBuild, develop, and grow positive relationships with clients, identify opportunities to grow business and deepen partnership. Turn opportunities into the projects or solutions and make sure they bring planned benefits to the programBuild a knowledge base of each client’s business, organization and objectivesFrame up roles and responsibilities across teams to deliver on program objectives. Coordinate priorities and requirements, allocate and leverage resources across projects to deliver resultsAct as a mediator between stakeholders and team members. Participate in cross-project planning to resolve conflicts in project priorities and constraintsEffectively communicate with company management on program strategies and plansManage program communications and executive reportingProvide administration and participation in organizational performance management initiativesProvide and promote high standards of professionalism and leadership throughout the life of projects.
