The Research Group Theory of Electron Dynamics and Spectroscopy is looking for

Postdoc / Scientist (f/m/d) for the Development of Quantum Algorithms to Simulate Electron Transfer at Electrode Surfaces

Your Tasks

• You will carry out electron-dynamics calculations of electron-transfer processes.
• You will utilize and further develop the group’s in‑house code Jellyfish using quantum algorithms.
• You will explore the potential use of quantum annealers.
• You will engage in a Helmholtz‑wide research consortium investigating batteries using quantum technologies.
• You will present your results at conferences and publish them in scientific journals.

Your Profile

• In-depth knowledge of quantum computing algorithms
• Solid background in quantum dynamics
• Very good programming skills, e.g. in C++
• Experience in the use of quantum chemistry codes
• Professional proficiency in English
