Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) | Exploring mammalian brain function using functional MRI or ultrasound imaging

We seek a Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) to join our team at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen (Germany), to explore mammalian brain function using functional MRI or ultrasound imaging .

The Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics conducts research that elucidates neurological processes across various organizational scales via experimental and theoretical approaches.

The Molecular Signaling research group combines bioengineering and preclinical in vivo imaging to understand molecular signaling that underlies mammalian brain function. Joining us, you will have the opportunity to apply novel genetic tools to study molecular brain function using optical, ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging. Our interdisciplinary approach encourages researchers with different backgrounds to collaborate and develop their skills to bridge molecular, cellular and organismal levels.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Relevant work experience comprises planning and performing preclinical fMRI and fUSI studies, including data analysis (e.g., AFNI, MATLAB, Python), MRI physics & sequence development, rodent handling, behavioral experiments and surgery.
