Help build Optilon’s presence in Germany
Optilon is expanding into Germany, and we are looking for a Pre-Sales Consultant who will play a key role in establishing our technical and commercial presence in one of Europe’s most important industrial markets.
For more than 20 years, Optilon has helped leading companies optimize their supply chains through advanced optimisation, technology, and consulting. With a strong reputation across the Nordics, we are now expanding our ecosystem of solutions and partners into the German market.
This role will be the first German-speaking technical and business-facing position in Germany , working closely with our Nordic consulting organisation and strategic partners.
You will help shape customer engagements, demonstrate solutions, and build trust with German industrial companies.
Your Mission
Your mission is to establish Optilon’s credibility in Germany by supporting and driving sales opportunities, demonstrating our solutions, and helping build the local consulting team.
You will act as the bridge between German customers, Optilon’s account & sales teams and consulting teams.
What You Will Do
Lead Pre-Sales Activities
- Lead German-language demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions
- Facilitate discovery workshops to understand customer supply chain processes and data
- Translate business needs into solution scope and recommended approaches
- Support proposal creation and value case development
- Provide technical credibility in joint opportunities with our partners
Support Sales and Pipeline Development
- Participate in joint sales meetings with Optilon and partners
- Support pipeline reviews and opportunity planning
- Prepare localized demo environments and workshop material
- Maintain CRM accuracy for opportunities involving pre-sales engagement
Note: This role focuses on solution consulting and does not involve cold calling or outbound sales.
Run Customer Workshops
Lead workshops with German industrial customers covering areas such as:
- Inventory optimization
- Demand planning
- S&OP processes
- Production planning
- Supply chain design
You will help define project scope, perform fit-gap analysis, and support the transition from sales to delivery.
Build Solution Expertise
You will receive training and build deep knowledge in leading supply chain platforms, including:
- ToolsGroup SO99+
- Optilon Collaboration & Optilon Integration
- Compass
- Cosmic Frog (Optilogic)
- iPlanner (insync)
Your role will be to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value for customers.
Take Solution Responsibility for German Customers
For selected accounts, you will act as the Solution Responsible , ensuring that solutions deliver the expected business value and meet the agreed scope.
Includes
- Acting as the primary technical contact throughout the customer lifecycle
- Ensuring alignment between customer requirements, Optilon delivery teams, and partner technologies
- Participating in solution reviews, milestones, and quality assurance
- Ensuring strong customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships
Contribute to Building the German Market
You will also help establish Optilon in Germany by:
- Participating in industry events, conferences, and webinars
- Supporting marketing initiatives and localised material
- Contributing insights from the German market
- Participating in recruiting and interviewing future German consultants
What We Are Looking For
Must-Have
- Native or fluent German
- Ability to confidently run customer workshops in German
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex supply chain concepts
- Professional experience in supply chain planning, analytics, or optimisation
- Experience engaging with both business and technical stakeholders
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with supply chain planning tools (e.g. SO99+, Compass, Cosmic Frog)
- Background in operations research, optimisation, or production planning
- Experience with German industrial sectors such as manufacturing, machinery, chemicals, or automotive
- Previous experience in pre-sales, consulting, or advisory roles

- Deliver compelling demos and workshops that generate qualified opportunities
- Become certified and confident in demonstrating our partner solutions
- Participate in recruiting the first German consultants
- Build strong collaboration between German customers and our Nordic consulting teams
