Join our team at the newly established European Expectations Center, under the leadership of Professor Michael Weber, Ph.D., and sponsored by the Humboldt Professorship as a Predoctoral Researcher (gn) (full‑time, 40 hrs/​week, starting in July 2026, 1 year, renewable once for up to 2 years) and help shape the future by bringing your expertise and passion to ESMT.

What makes you a great fit

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Behavioral Sciences, or related fields
• Strong quantitative background and analytical skills
• Proficiency in conducting statistical analyses
• Familiarity with at least one mathematical/statistical software
• Previous research experience is an advantage
• Fluency in English is required; German language skills are an advantage
• Intention to pursue a doctoral degree

How you’ll make a difference

• Support ongoing research projects by gathering, compiling, processing, and organizing large datasets
• Help conduct statistical analysis
• Proofread and edit research reports, working papers, and publications
• Maintain effective communication with all members of the faculty and external collaborators
• Support organization of the annual conferences and associated PhD workshops
