Pricing Actuary

Location: Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany.

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of pricing models for specialty insurance in close collaboration with underwriting worldwide.
• Actuarial assessment of delegated authority business.
• Further development of actuarial IT landscape and maintaining IT interfaces.
• Support in the further development of actuarial controlling in international markets for specialty business.
• Support and participation in pricing governance.

Profile / Qualifications

• Completed university degree in (business) mathematics, economics or computer science with in-depth knowledge of stochastics/statistics.
• First professional experience in actuarial services, preferably pricing, or comparable functions.
• Good knowledge of programming languages, ideally Python, as well as knowledge of databases (e.g. SQL) and PowerBI.
• High level of communication skills and persuasiveness.
• Joy in service‑oriented cooperation with underwriting worldwide in a dynamically developing company.
• Analytical thinking skills and enjoy working in an international team.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
