Pricing Actuary, Specialty

Overview

Join Allianz Commercial as a Pricing Actuary, Specialty (m/f/d) based in London or Munich. We are looking for an experienced actuary to partner with our Global Pricing Specialty Team, navigate complex specialty markets, and deliver innovative pricing strategies that support long‑term profit targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, refine and maintain pricing tools and statistical models, and support IT enhancements.
• Conduct deep‑dive profitability reviews of individual accounts and business segments to inform portfolio actions and technical pricing models.
• Support underwriters by pricing large, complex accounts and ensuring that loss trends are incorporated into underwriting activities.
• Build strong relationships with Underwriting and senior management to champion technical pricing concepts and tools.
• Coordinate cross‑team projects and perform peer review of work from other team members.

Qualifications

• Qualified P&C Actuary (or nearly qualified with significant P&C experience).
• Strong mathematical, analytical and Excel skills; coding experience with SQL or Python an advantage.
• Experience in commercial lines pricing, preferably large corporate and specialty lines including Marine, Aviation and Entertainment.
• Basic understanding of AI and its business applications.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical information to non‑technical audiences.
• Proven track record of delivering on‑time projects, process improvements and a results orientation.
• Fluent in English; ability to work in an international environment.
