About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Clinical Lead to join the Regional Senior team. This is a new dedicated IRC role which will cover our sites all around the country.

This new IRC region covers three immigration centres, including Gatwick IRC, Heathrow IRC and Derwentside IRC.

In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.

Hours and Salary

This role will be 4 days a week (30 hours) with shift patterns to be discussed.

Salary: This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £58,012 per annum FTE – depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing and Allied Health Professional (AHP) leadership in primary care in order to consistently develop high quality, safe and cost effective primary care services for patients.
  • Provide leadership to our primary care services within the regions, supporting the network of services.
  • Support the Head of Primary Care in driving the implementation of our nursing strategy.
  • Act as a role model to healthcare teams, encouraging effective working relationships and the development of a cohesive regional team, working with a common philosophy.
  • Represent Health in Justice with external agencies including NHS England and regional commissioners, other service providers, networks, patients, communication groups, and other national bodies.
  • Provide a visible and accessible presence when visiting clinical areas ensuring patients and staff have the opportunity to seek information, help and support or to share problems or successes.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse - MMC
  • Specialist or considerable experience relevant to Health in Justice Services or equivalent experience in primary care.
  • Non-medical prescriber or willingness to undertake the course.
  • Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge and ability to work autonomously.

Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
