Principal Power Module Application Engineer

Our client, a respected innovator in advanced semiconductor and power electronics technology, is looking for a Remote Power Module Application Engineer to join their R&D team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on the development of next‑generation power modules , supporting projects from early concept through to prototype and production. The work is highly technical and will suit an engineer who enjoys solving real design challenges in high‑power, high‑performance applications .

What you’ll be doing

• Designing advanced power modules using SiC and GaN technologies
• Optimising designs for switching performance, thermal behaviour, EMI and low parasitics
• Working on PCB layout, circuit design and system‑level integration
• Using tools such as Altium, Solid Edge, ANSYS, LTspice and PLECS
• Supporting projects from concept, simulation and design through to prototype manufacture
• Taking ownership of key development activity within a collaborative R&D environment

What they’re looking for

• Experience in power module, power electronics or inverter design
• Strong understanding of layout, thermals, parasitics, EMI and circuit performance
• Experience with simulation and modelling tools
• Background in electronics, electrical or mechanical engineering
• Knowledge of wide band gap semiconductors would be a strong advantage
