Our Company

We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Contracts Manager to be placed in Cologne, Germany and would be on a contract with possibility of extension. For our client, a leading party in EPC, we are seeking a Contract Specialist with advanced technical expertise and strategic acumen to join the team. Reporting to the Team Leader, a (Senior) Contract Manager and the Contract Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in post-award contract administration, contributing to the development of new technologies and value chains.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contract terms and review technical scopes of work.
• Lead the internal development of Request for Proposal (RFP) processes and final negotiations, such as :
• Conducting a contractor resource survey.
• Prequalification of bidders.
• Creating the Master Bid List for approval by the client.
• Creating, maintaining, retrieving and transmitting records, reports or documents as part of general contract administration.
• Creating and maintaining contract files.
• Analyze commercial portions of proposals and prepare contract recommendations and present the team's recommendation to project management and / or client.
• Conduct pre-award activities including contractor resource surveys and bidder prequalification.

Skills / Qualifications

• Professional experience in contract management and procurement for engineering and construction projects.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Proactive problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Fluent in written and spoken German, with proficiency in English.
• Experienced in working with German contracts and with GE project partners.
• Demonstrated understanding of systems, processes, and tools in the field.
• Track record of preparing Statements of Work (SoW) and construction contract packages.
