Overview
For Fujifilm’s European Headquarters in our Ratingen office (near Düsseldorf) we are looking for a Product Compliance Specialist (f/m/d).
Responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation and monitoring of compliance requirements under key EU legislation, including Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) – ensuring that packaging is correctly designed, labelled and reported in accordance with recyclability and reusability standards.
- Battery Regulation – supporting obligations on labelling, recycled content, performance, recyclability and reporting for batteries.
- Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) – supporting documentation and data collection for digital product passports, circularity requirements and product design criteria.
- Monitor regulatory developments in EU product and environmental legislation and assess relevance to product lines.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and internal databases related to product compliance and declarations of conformity.
- Support the collection and validation of product data from internal teams and suppliers to ensure traceability and completeness.
- Prepare and support the submission of required reports to national authorities and industry platforms (e.g. Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes).
- Help coordinate internal projects to prepare for upcoming regulations and contribute to cross‑functional compliance initiatives.
- Support audits and internal reviews related to product compliance and regulatory due diligence.
- Assist in the preparation of training and communication materials for internal teams on compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of European legislative requirements (e.g., PPWR, Battery Regulation, ESPR, WEEE, RoHS).
- Initial experience (internship or 1–2 years) in product compliance or sustainability preferred.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with compliance tools or databases is a plus.
- Good communication and coordination skills across departments and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent English and German (spoken and written); additional languages are beneficial.
