Product Engineer(m/w/d)

Key Responsibilities

• Gain a solid understanding of spring design work flow in conjunction with design theories and manufacturing processes
• Create and modify designs of coil springs, stabilizer bars, and related components to meet customer specifications
• Prepare drawings, 3D models, reports and presentations for customers, suppliers, and NHK manufacturing plants
• Meet with cross-functional teams to transfer information and support solving problems in a team environment
• Coordinate with NHK test labs in Japan and USA to accomplish required approval testing
• Establish and maintain all relevant engineering documentation and schedules for each project
• Develop personal expertise in various engineering technologies and maintain working knowledge of new technologies
• Seek and develop improvement opportunities

Demonstrated Abilities

• Strong command of mechanical engineering theory and calculations
• Ability to clearly communicate technical information verbally and in writing
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Available to travel to customer and plant locations globally

Acquired Knowledge

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study is required.
• Fundamental knowledge of materials and solid mechanics
• Knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA and other engineering tools
• CAD Experience (CATIA or UG NX)
• Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis is an advantage
• Driver license B required
• Fluency in English and German language is required. Japanese language skill is an advantage, but not mandatory.
