Gates Corporation

Product Line Manager PU Belts

Stellenbeschreibung:

Product Line Manager – TPU (Polyurethane) – Gates Corporation – EMEA Region

Overview

Gates is a leading manufacturer of fluid power and power transmission solutions that pushes the boundaries of material science. As the Product Line Manager for Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) products, you will develop and execute the regional strategic plan, drive new product development, manage the full product lifecycle, and achieve the company’s financial and operational targets within the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the P&L for the TPU line in EMEA, including business planning and execution.
  • Lead regional commercial initiatives, new product introductions (NPI) and value‑addition (VA/VE) programs, validated by business cases and tracked against operating plan targets.
  • Establish clear regional goals and performance metrics, drive problem‑solving and provide program/project leadership to ensure successful delivery across the EMEA region.
  • Collaborate closely with regional sales, channel and engineering teams to engage end customers, capture voice of the customer, conduct competitive research and represent Gates in industry associations within EMEA.
  • Define, implement and manage regional product value propositions, market positioning and pricing strategies; support local country teams in achieving sales, marketing and service objectives.
  • Lead key customer interactions within the region, including RFQ responses, internal business case reviews and negotiation processes related to selling company products.
  • Analyze and interpret internal and external regional business factors, recommending best practices to enhance products, processes and services in alignment with the EMEA strategy.
  • Solve complex, cross‑functional challenges by applying innovative, broad‐based approaches; work independently with guidance only for the most complex or strategic situations.
  • Influence business outcomes through effective communication of complex concepts and aligning regional stakeholders toward shared objectives.
  • Directly contribute to achieving regional customer satisfaction, operational performance and strategic growth targets, ensuring alignment with both EMEA and corporate goals.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Science, Engineering, Business or Marketing with minimum 8 years of professional experience in product management, sales, application engineering or business development.
  • Must have experience and knowledge of TPU.
  • Strong commercial business acumen with proven ability to drive customer‑oriented solutions and revenue growth.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross‑functional projects and delivering results in matrix organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and lead across all organizational levels — both with and without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills with a structured and analytical approach.
  • Experience working in global and cross‑cultural environments; exposure to private sector, government or military organizations is an advantage.
  • Confident in presenting to senior leadership and external stakeholders, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, strategic, and customer‑focused messages.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.
